Michael Klingensmith, born in Coral Gables, FL on August 2nd, 1950 to the late Howard and Catherine Klingensmith passed away on November 27th, 2015 after a valiant fight against cancer. A resident of Altamonte Springs, FL., Michael was the loving husband of Sheila Bruce Klingensmith. Michael was father to son, Jason Michael Klingensmith and daughter Heather Michelle Klingensmith DeGonge. He was also step-father to Rob Bruce. His grandchildren include Gillian Klingensmith, Maddox Klingensmith, Miles Klingensmith, Whitney Bruce, Alexander DeGonge. Owen DeGonge and Ethan DeGonge. Michael is also survived by his sisters Jill Rose and Diane Miyares as well as his brother Gregory Klingensmith.

Michael worked for Bell South for 34 years before retiring in 2004. He was a tropical fish farmer and an avid orchid grower. He was an accomplished painter with water colors and his orchids were one of his favorite subjects. He loved all things related to auto racing and often enjoyed trips to Sebring. Spending time fishing and cooking were also activities that brought joy to his life. Michael brought light into every room he walked in. We wish that his soul is at rest with The Father.
