Dr. Michael G. Hammonds, 65 of Sanford, Florida went to be with the Lord on the afternoon of August 13, 2019, with family members at his bedside.

Michael was born in Ashland, Kentucky, to Donald and Imogene Hammonds on February 11, 1954.

He was a graduate of Paul Blazer High School and the University of Louisville Dental School. He enjoyed practicing dentistry in Florida for many years. Michael was known for his good sense of humor and his love of motorcycles and golf. He was respected and loved by many in the community.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Imogene Hammonds, and his younger brother, Danny Hammonds.

He is survived by his partner of 15 years, Cindy Bishop; his three children, Shelly, Courtney, and Zack Hammonds; his father Donald N. Hammonds Sr.; two brothers, Dr. Donald N. Hammonds, Jr., and John Hammonds; ones sister, Linda Hammonds Crowe; and four grandchildren.

He was a loving father and will be missed by his family and many friends.
