Mr. Michael Emery Davis, age 85, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026 following a lengthy illness. Born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 30, 1940 he was the beloved son of Emery Davis and Loretta Allen. A natural storyteller who never met a stranger, Michael had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and valued. To know him was to love him, and his presence brought warmth and laughter to every room he entered.
Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Michael made St. Petersburg, Florida his home for more than 75 years. It was there that he built a life rich in love, family, and community. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend — the kind of man who showed up, cheered loudly, and loved deeply.
One of Michael's greatest joys was supporting his grandchildren in the sports they loved. Whether it was Soccer, Lacrosse, Basketball, Volleyball, or especially Football, he was always on the sidelines, proud and enthusiastic. His encouragement, humor, and unwavering support will forever be remembered by those who he came to support.
Michael is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Alice Davis; his brother Peter K. Davis; and his four daughters, Kelly Sirotkin, Becky (Tracy) Gies, Sara (David) Eisenbart, and Anna (Ray) Gregg.
He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren — Carlos, Caleb, Ava, Emily, and Faith — each of whom brought him immeasurable joy.
Michael was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his family and all who were fortunate enough to share in his stories, his laughter, and his generous heart. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.
May his memory be a blessing and a comfort to all who knew him.
