Micah Andrew Van Horn was born November 17, 2003 at Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando Florida and went home to the arms of his Heavenly Father on October 27, 2015. He is survived by his sister, Mariah Alexis, age 15, his brother Josiah Joel, age 8, his Mother Debbie, and Father Patrick. Micah was a gentle, compassionate little boy that adored his family and treated complete strangers like his favorite playmate. He would always bring a visitor from the door to the couch to play with his puzzles, a ball, or a truck. His smile, contagious laugh, and constant kisses demonstrated the true love he had for everyone and the joy that overflowed from his heart. His excitement whenever someone came into the room always made you feel like the most special person on the planet. His ultimate desire was to have someone sit next to him, play, or have physical touch. Despite having Dravet syndrome, which produces severe epilepsy and developmental delays, Micah always persevered and fought through constant setbacks. He would smile following seizures as though nothing ever happened. He will always be remembered as our little angel that kept our family strong and close, reminding us daily that simple things in life like cheese cubes and goldfish could bring so much happiness. Micah was the ultimate example of courage and unconditional love and reminded us to be thankful and happy for everything in life, good or bad
