Mercedes Miranda was born on July 23rd, 1928 in Rio Piedras Puerto Rico to Kica and Jose Garcia. She passed on January 23rd, 2016 here in Florida.

Mom migrated to New York in the 1940's where she met and married Sigfredo "Johnny" Miranda. She gave birth to eight but raised ten children. She is survived by seven children, Jose, Julio, Wanda, Eva, Gloria, James and Anthony. There are sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and so many more she welcomed into her home, heart and family.

Mom's greatest joys were her family, traveling, camping and the ocean. Education was very important to her. She received three Master's Degree after raising her children. "Can't" was not in her vocabulary. She reached, touched and inspired many to strive to be their best and surpass their own limitations.

We have all be blessed to have shared her life. Rest in Peace Mom, Tata. You will be missed and forever in our hearts. Love you, Te Quiero Mucho, Mucho, Mucho.
