Melissa Kaye Bashore, 41, passed away on February 7, 2025 at Leesburg hospital in Leesburg, Florida.

She is survived by two children Austin Refino Cruz & Savannah Rose Cruz, Mother Kimberly Montalto, Stepfather Thomas Montalto, stepsister Jeannette Doucette; stepsister Laurie Montalto & several aunts, uncles & cousins, nieces & nephews.

Melissa found joy in music, dancing & writing. She had a special place in her heart for all animals & loved the beach. She was known for kindness & huge heart & desire to help others. Though she faced struggles with addiction and the challenges of how to live life, she will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter & friend. Also, the love she shared and the impact she had on those around her. Melissa's passing is a profound loss to those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who loved her.

The loss of her has been so traumatizing that a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
