SAMON-ROSS, (MEL) MELANIE (REAMS), 60, of St. Petersburg, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015. She was born on May 11, 1955 in Lynch, KY and moved to St. Petersburg in 1962. Mel graduated from Boca Ciega High School in 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, and her parents, Bill and Norma Jean Reams. Survivors include two sons, Jared Samon, St. Petersburg, FL, James �JR� Ross III and his wife Sarah, Ludlow, KY, a daughter, Nicole �Niki� Ross, Florence, KY, grandchildren Lizzie, Logan, Jordan, Blake and Jared Michael, brother Ernie and wife Debbie, as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 11:00 am R Lee Williams & Son Funeral Home, St. Petersburg, FL.
