McAllister James, 69 passed away on February 23, 2019 in Sanford FL. He was born in Mobile AL on July 12, 1949 to Jake and Mable James who preceded him in death, also preceded in death, 2 brothers and 2 sisters; Donald Johnson, Odessa Hodge, Amy Smith-Lee, and William Ellis.
He was educated in the public-school system in Mobile AL. After graduation from Central High School in 1968 he joined the United States Air Force and received an Honorable Discharge in 1970. He moved to Sanford FL in 2016 to be with his daughter and her family.
Those left to cherish his memory are: his wife Rose James of 49 years; daughter Alicia (Courtney) Hatcher, two stepsons Carlton Cannon and Bradford Cannon; 7 grandchildren, Courtney "CJ" Hatcher, Coria Hatcher and Genesis Hatcher, Felicia Jackson, Raven Grove, Joshua Cannon, and Rayne Snowden; 4 sisters, Anna Nelson, Annie Mary (AB) Jackson, Debra Forest all of Mobile, AL; Annette James of Washington DC, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Graveside Interment will be held March 11, 10:30 am at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Fl.
Immediately after the service a Repass will be held at Dixie Crossroads, 1475 Garden St, Titusville, FL 32796.
