Obituary

Maureen passed away peacefully in Clearwater, Florida, on March 12, 2026 at the age of 78.

She is survived by her four children: Rick Lee Maynard, Angela Lee Allison, Mark Lee
Maynard, and Matthew Lee Maynard; six grandchildren: Kristen, Colton, Max, Mason,
Morgan, and Carson and six great-grandchildren. Maureen's legacy lives on through her
family, who will cherish her memory and the love she shared with each of them.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Ruth Myers; her brother, Maurice
Jr. "Butch"; and her sister, Patricia "Patty" and her beloved husband, Forrest Maynard.

Maureen was born on June 24, 1947, in Winooski, Vermont. She graduated from Dixie
Hollins High School in Largo, FL, and married Forrest Maynard in 1972.

Maureen and Forrest spent nearly 50 loving years together until his passing on April 8,
2021. Their partnership was defined by their dedication to family, and together they
modeled hard work, loyalty, and compassion.

In the early 1970s, Forrest and his partner started A-1 Electrical Contractors. Later,
Forrest attended auctioneering school and founded Century Oaks Auction, reflecting the
couple's shared passion for antiques. Forrest was known for his creativity, work ethic,
and unwavering loyalty. Today, his legacy endures as A-1 Electric continues under the
guidance of their son, Matt.

Maureen, always Forrest's biggest supporter, devoted much of her career as the office
manager at A-1. But her truest calling was as a compassionate caretaker. She was the
ultimate PTA mom, the neighborhood entertainer for kids, and a steadfast defender of
the underdog.

After Forrest's passing, Maureen moved to Grand Villa Assisted Living Community,
where she found new friendships and a renewed sense of purpose. She served as vice
president of the residents' council and as an ambassador welcoming new residents.

Per their wishes, Forrest's ashes will be laid to rest with Maureen, reuniting them once
more in a place of lasting peace.
