Matthew Robert White, 53 of St. Petersburg, died suddenly in Beech Mountain, North Carolina where he and his wife and two daughters were celebrating Christmas with his immediate family.
He is surpassed by his loving family, his wife Tricia White, his beautiful daughters, Breilyn Hadley White and Berklee Lada White, and his older brother, Daniel White. Matthew was an Executive Store Manager for Lowe's in Pinellas Park for many years.
His family suffered great tragedy the evening of his death, but will never forget the wonderful moments they shared together. Although Matthew's death was untimely, his family will keep his memory alive and will forever hold him in their hearts. He was an amazing husband and father who wanted nothing more than to give his girls the world. He worked his entire life to provide for his family and bring joy to his girls - they were his everything. The family will forever remember the annual fishing trips in the Florida keys, fishing off of highway 41 for peacock bass, the joy and excitement on Matthew's face while trolling the deep waters for mahi mahi and tuna. It seems like a distant memory, hearing Matthew screaming "fish-on, fish-on" when the spinner screeched while trolling the open waters. The Florida Keys were his happy place and where he was at peace.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, January 2, 2023 from 5-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church 445 82nd Ave., St. Pete Beach, Florida 33706 at 11 am. Interment will be later.
