Matthew R Stroup, 38, of St Petersburg, Fl died on March 31, 2023. His loss has saddened the entire family along with his many friends. Matt was very thoughtful and was a very kind soul and we feel comfort in knowing we will meet him again in heaven. Matt's family and friends will miss him more than words can ever say.
Matthew was born on November 4, 1984 to Mark Stroup and Terri Estep (Mazek) in Orlando, Fl. He pursued his education at Lake Brantley High School, Longwood, Fl, Seminole State College, Lake Mary, Fl. He worked Construction Management at Five Star Hospitality, most recently Construction Manager, Dana Construction Valrico, Fl.
Matthew had a love of the ocean & beach, jet skiing, boating, cruises, Snowboarding out West with family, liked gathering information & watching movies & documentaries about WWII, the Vikings, the history of Rome, Cleopatra, Julius Caesar and Mark Anthony, amongst others. He was a big History buff. He also loved the Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Rays & all Professional Baseball. He attended as many sporting events as he could. He liked tinkering with his vehicles, loved music of different genres and listening to it with his brother and sister, including joining each other for a night out listening and dancing to their favorite music at the Silent Disco on New Years.
Those who knew Matt well, recognize that he loved his family more than anything. His sense of humor was shared and understood well by his brother and sister Chris and Trisha as well as his friends and family. Matt was thoughtful and generous. He was always there to help any who needed it.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 2PM held at Annunciation Catholic Church with visitation hours starting at 1:15PM; followed by a Burial at 3:30PM to take place at Highland Memory Gardens.
