Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, MaryLou Calabrese. MaryLou went to rest eternally with Jesus on Good Friday, April 18, 2025, at the age of 91. There is not a more fitting day for someone who so loved God and her faith.

The daughter of Thomas and Louise Alvino, MaryLou was born in the Bronx, New York, on December 19, 1933. She was blessed with her baby sister, Ann, 8 years later. At the age of 18, MaryLou married her loving husband, Eugene Calabrese, on September 14, 1952. Shortly thereafter they moved to Westchester, and raised a family of 5 beautiful children, before relocating to Florida.

MaryLou was preceded in death by her father and mother, husband Eugene, son Thomas and sister Ann.

MaryLou is survived by her devoted son Eugene (Denise), daughter Virginia (Jerry), son Vincent (Theresa), son Mark, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends whom she loved dearly.

A woman of deep faith, MaryLou was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. She lived a wonderful life full of God, prayer, love and family. She also had a great love of music, movies, traveling, cooking and anything to do with her Italian heritage.

To our Mommy and Grandma MaryLou…you will be missed dearly and loved eternally. "To live in the hearts of those you leave behind is never to die".

A Funeral Mass will be held, in celebration of MaryLou's life, on April 23, 2025, at 10:00am at Annunciation Catholic Church, located at 1020 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your charity of choice.
