Mary Dale
"Perk" Phillips
Aug 13, 1938 — Sep 23, 2026
Winter Garden, FL
Mary Dale “Perk” Phillips, born August 13, 1938, in Greenville, South Carolina, passed away in Winter Garden, Florida, on September 23, 2026, at the age of 88.
If you knew Perk, you knew there was no such thing as a quick conversation with her. She was talkative, full of life, a little crazy, and completely unforgettable. She was truly larger than life and had a personality that filled every room she entered.
Perk was the beloved wife of the late Don Avery Phillips and a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her daughter, Laurie Lombardo; her grandson, Justin Phillips; her sister; and her parents.
She is survived by her children, Dykey Phillips (Amanda); Keven Phillips (Michelle); and Donda Blair (Tony), along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family who will carry her memory with them.
Perk worked for many years as a waitress at Sabal Point Country Club and Rock Springs Ridge Country Club, where her outgoing personality made her a memorable presence. She loved music and dancing, shopping, sewing, cooking, and working out. She loved staying busy, being around people, and, of course, talking—because Perk always had something to say.
She was funny, spirited, opinionated, loving, and wonderfully, unapologetically herself. She leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, and memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Perk lived a big life and loved in an even bigger way. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
