Mary A. (Zimmerman) Paegelow died peacefully while in hospice care in Altamonte Springs, Florida on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the age of 74.
Mary is survived by her 3 children: Tina Pacholski of Sanford, FL; Tony (Deborah) Paegelow of Ripon WI; Lisa (Gary) Stottlemyer of Sanford, FL. Also, her 6 grandchildren: Miranda, Caleb & Sarah Paegelow; Emma, Ethan & Elli Stottlemyer and one great-grandson, Maverick Cole. She is survived by her siblings: Jerome (Carol) Zimmerman of Mt. Horeb, WI; Jeannie LaBansky of Lone Rock, WI; Thomas (Anne) of Madison, WI.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald "Jerry" Paegelow of Oostburg, WI; her parents Herbert & Anastasia (Sutter) Zimmerman of Stoughton, WI and her son in-law, David Pacholski of Waukesha, WI.
Mary was born on January 13, 1945 in Madison, WI. She graduated from Edgewood High School, Madison, WI in 1963. She married her second husband, Jerry, on March 31, 1973. They were married 31 years before his sudden death on August 4, 2004. Together they lived in many cities and towns around Wisconsin, but called Oostburg, WI home. They loved attending and serving in the local church together. Later Mary moved to Florida to escape the harsh winters and be closer to her daughters. She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary enjoyed playing solitaire, reading, knitting and walking daily, specifically in the Florida sunshine. She was a woman of faith who loved to study the Word of God and pray, especially for her family. She was a great prayer warrior.
A memorial service will be held in June at Open Door Bible Church, Port Washington, WI. The date and time soon to be determined. All are welcome to come and celebrate Mary's life. In lieu of flowers Mary's family is requesting donations to Ethnos360 for the Badyaranke church planting team in Senegal, printing translated scripture and Bible lessons.
