Mary Elizabeth McIlvane, 93, Altamonte Springs, FL, Wednesday, January 13, 2021.

Mary Elizabeth was born on July 16, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the daughter of the late
William and Mary (Brennan) McIlvane. She was predeceased by her siblings Donald, Robert and
Roseanne. Mary Elizabeth is survived by many nephews and nieces. Mary Elizabeth's family is grateful to
her dedicated friends whose generosity and kindness sustained her.
Mary Elizabeth received a BA from Seton Hall University and a MA in Learning Systems from The Catholic
University of America. After a career in Health Care IT, she was a passionate advocate for the rights of
women and children. She founded the Center for Truth and Trust and was an active volunteer and
supporter of the Children's Home Society of Florida, an organization dedicated to keeping families safe,
strong and together. Mary Elizabeth was a prolific writer and poet whose words inspired many.
Due to COVID restrictions, the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
