Obituary

ARMSTRONG, Mary Joan, 83, of St. Petersburg, FL entered into rest October 13, 2014 after a long illness.

She was born in New Brunswick, NJ and relocated to Florida in the 50's. She was the owner of Armstrong's Western Trend. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and always a child at heart, she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her two children, Dawn M. Stephens of North Augusta, SC, and Beverly J. Passe (Steve), of Clearwater, FL; sister, Nancy Scott of South River, NJ; brother, Albert Mayo of Edison, NJ; sister-in-law, Connie Buckley of Holmdel, NJ; two grandchildren; Thomas Ian Stephens (Courtney) and Diana Marie Padgett (Shane), and four great-grandchildren: Thomas Eliot Stephens, Henci Anne Stephens, Daisy Marie Padgett, and Andrew Alva Padgett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle E. Armstrong, and her sisters, Ruthie Mayo, Doris Szabo, and brother, James Buckley.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct 18th from 2PM until service time at 3PM with Rev. Shane Padgett officiating at R. Lee Williams & Son at 3530 49th St. N., St. Petersburg. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
