Mary Martha Hilley passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family, on Friday, April 3, 2026.
Born January 25, 1942, she was a cradle Catholic and left this life during Holy Week's Good Friday, something extraordinarily special for her. Mary Martha's beloved husband, Daniel, passed away before her. Even after his death, she remained faithfully devoted to him for seventeen years. It is with great comfort to her family that she is with him once again. Together, they had three children, four grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren, demonstrating to everyone their family first attitude through decades of parental influence and unwavering love.
In addition to her own family, Mary Martha cultivated strong bonds with her students, as she was also a well-respected and requested high school English teacher. For more than thirty years, she worked tirelessly to impart wisdom, celebrate literature, and encourage curiosity. Her life was exceedingly meaningful, deeply engaging, and fully enriching. It will remain a lasting legacy for her children, their children, and generations to come.
