Mary McGinnis Lent Haverly, age 81, passed away on Wednesday July 12th, 2017 with her family by her side. She was born in Flushing, New York to William and Edith McGinnis. She married and had her children, Laura Hamm, Keith Lent, Karen Lowe and Lynda Hedrick.
Mary moved with her family to Central Florida in 1972 from Long Island, New York. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked tirelessly at the Purple Porpoise and Perkins for over 30 years, retiring in 2013.
She is survived by her 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Don in 2013. Mary is also remembered by many friends for her fun nature and giving spirit.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 15th at 2:00pm at Degusipe Funeral Home in Sanford.
