Obituary

Our family is sad to announce the passing of Mary Ann Hartmann (Collins) after a prolonged battle with lung cancer. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Bill Hartmann, her two siblings William Cleveland and Patricia Cleveland as well as her children Michelle Swanson (Hartmann) and Scooter Hartmann, grandchildren Kara, Nina, Collin and Jess, and great granddaughter, Margot.

Mary Ann was born in Venice, Florida to Emma Ruth Lawyer and Keith King and raised in Orlando by her adopted parents Walter and Janie Collins (Johns). She graduated from Boone High-school in 1962. During her high school years she enjoyed an active life of cheerleading, socializing with friends at The Pig & Whistle, cotillions and ballroom dancing at Pounds Studio. As a mother she dedicated her life to her children, their education and creating many happy memories for her family. She delighted in her grandchildren's lives and accomplishments.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday February 24th at 11am, at Saint Charles Catholic Church with a reception to follow at Dubsdread Country Club. Fr. Robert Marquez will officiate the service and ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mary Ann's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society.
