Mary Ellen, a 50 year Florida resident, died May 9, in her Orlando home. Born April 15, 1940 in Portage, Wisconsin. Mary Ellen was the daughter of Allan P. MacDonald and Mary Rose Keaveny MacDonald.

Mary Ellen was a Registered Pediatric Nurse; who, after retirement, shared her skills as an active volunteer in DeLand, FL as well as Orlando, FL.

She was a graduate of Columbia School of Nursing Hospital, Milwaukee, WI. (U.W. Milwaukee). She is survived by her husband of 46 years, G. Fred Collins, Jr., her daughter, Molly Collins Phelps (Seth) and grandson, Luke; of Jacksonville, FL. And, her daughter, Maggie Collins, who, as a teacher, resides in Mumbai, India. Her sister, Jane Fullerton Grunke (Steve) of Portage, WI. As well as, her brother-in-law, Steve, sisters-in-law, Nancy, Susan and Penny; their spouses, children and grandchildren.

Mary Ellen's friends span the world. They are truly lifelong friends who will miss her always. The family thanks them for their love and support.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 19 at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Maitland, located at 341 N. Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL 32751 (maitlandpres.org).

Any flowers sent for her service will be distributed to Hospice and Hospital patients after her service.
