Obituary

Mary Ella Andrus Stephenson passed away on Nov.18th after 90 great years!
Everyone described Mary as "fun-loving". Mary was born in Detroit and moved to St. Pete in 1953 to raise her family.
She was strong, independent, funny, and sarcastic with memorable facial expressions and loved a good gin and tonic.

She loved cooking, and is remembered most for her almond macaroon cookies. She loved fishing (but only if you were catching), sewing, and was an avid bridge player.

Mary enjoyed playing tennis and was a long standing member of "Lakewood" Country Club, where she took her 10 grandkids to lunch every Christmas. She was a member of the St. Pete. Junior League and also an active member of St. Mathew's Episcopal Church since its inception.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Frank Andrus and her sister, Sally Tunnicliffe.

She is survived by her daughter, Carey (Ron) of St. Pete., her son, Jeff (Hope) of Palmetto, and her daughter, Lisa (Guy) of Palmetto. 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren are among those who will miss her dearly.

Services will be held Saturday, 11/25/17 at 11am at St. Mathew's Episcopal Church (738 Pinellas Pt Dr So) with a Celebration of Life following.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to NTM Info & Research in Coral Gables, FL
