Martha "Becky" Becht Carman, 76, passed away on June 25, 2025. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Martha made Central Florida her home over 40 years ago.
She worked as a payroll specialist until her retirement several years ago. A lifelong enthusiast of sports and activities, Martha was also a devoted card maker, crafter, passionate University of Kentucky fan, and a faithful servant of her community and church.
With a heart full of love and hands always busy creating, Martha brought joy to everyone around her. Whether she was sharing her handmade creations or giving her time, she did so generously and with deep compassion.
Martha's strong Catholic faith was the foundation of her life and a source of inspiration to many. She served as a Eucharistic Minister, a Minister to the Sick, and a member of her church's technology ministry, offering comfort, connection, and care to those in need.
She is survived by her children, Laura Anderson (Robert) and Edward Carman (Meghan); and her beloved grandchildren, Mitchell, Brooke, Rachel, and Alrik Anderson, and Terrance and Eva Carman.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, George Carman; her parents, Bernard and Eva Becht; and her siblings, Bill Becht, Helen Grenough, and Glen Becht.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 5–7 p.m. at DeGusipe Funeral Home in Fern Park, Florida. A funeral Mass will follow on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 10 am at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs, Fl.
