"Buzz" that's all who knew him, knew him by that name, and all who didn't, soon knew it!
He was very proud of his heritage and has tons of information on his ancestors, specifically back to the first "Hansen sic" John Daniel Hansen 1818-1877 from Norway, changed to Hanson, he first came to the Milwaukee area, married Betsy Austin***(translated name she went by), in 1845 they came to White Lake (Aka Whitehall) and then was the first non-natives to settle the area of Claybanks, Oceans County Michigan.
Buzz's grandfather Myron Washington Hanson Sr. Born 1854, was brother to the more well known John D S Hanson 1852-1925 of that Michigan area.
Buzz's father Myron Washington Hanson Jr.,born in 1882 ** he moved to Pittsburgh before 1900, lived in the Mt Lebanon area.

Buzz was proud of his various accomplishments with working in sales with IBM and Simplex and National Safe corporation (his favorite) where he also worked in Savannah for several years, plus other Jobs. He was a referee for 25 years for various schools or city teams, and was a big Steelers fan, attending several superbowls.
He and his wife Gloria moved to Florida in 1959, later had a house built in what is know known as Lakewood Estates in the early 1960s, 54th Ave South was still a unpaved road.
Buzz was the life of the party at one time and organized many reunions, he was also President of the Englebert Humperdink fan club, before people could go online he coordinated tickets to fans and set-up Enge's dressing room. Some other facts about his life, he attended Valley Forge Military Academy, where the future (General Storman Norman) was his roommate, he has a letter on the generals watermark paper where he wrote Buzz during Desert Storm were he was reminiscing their time at Valley Forge. Buzz also went to Penn State and Gettysburg.
He spent 4 years in the Army in Germany and had many memorable stories to tell, one such memory when he helped a unknown priest who ended up to be one of the top Entourage of the Pope and Buzz took this man to the Pope's castle and he got to meet the Pope.
He was a Member of Am Legion 125 for about 40 years, Also a Member of VFW Sunshine Post, in St Petersburg FL. Buzz was a 73 year Mason of Infinity Lodge No 546 F&AM of Pennsylvania, the same lodge where his father joined in 1901. Buzz was also a member of the Scottish and York rites.
He stated his desire to have a Old New Orleans Jazz funeral procession to the vault.
Buzz will be buried in the vault at Bay Pines National cemetery, with his first wife Gloria, may they both rest in peace. Memorial and service dates not yet known.
• For geological info on Pauline, her birth father was a Deshott? Spelling?, her Mother married DeVictor and he raised her. ((Buzz never wanted to focus on the DeShott's, but biologically I had to mention this.))
** In 1883 a birth record exists for Myron W Hanson Jr that says he was born April 1 1882, his WWI reg says birthday 21 Apr 1882, also interesting facts of other censuses that we uncovered his age varies, to be seemingly older than he was, perhaps to get a job position and other censes have him younger perhaps to stay working? But his obit and grave say he died in 1886.
*** Betsy Austin was originally called "Beatrice Oustendauter?" (spelling unk att)
Beatrice became Betsy and Ousten.. became Austin.
R.I.P Buzz- you will be missed!
