Marion W. Lawrence of Winter Park, FL, passed away at home on Sunday, August 2, 2015, surrounded by family and friends.

Marion was born August 30, 1935, to Mary Agnes (McIntyre) and Russell Leroy Walters in Camden, New Jersey. After graduating high school, she married and had three daughters. In the early 1960's, the family relocated to Orlando.

She remarried in 1970 to Samuel B. Lawrence. The two shared forty-one wonderful years of marriage. Sam and Marion were avid travelers, art collectors, dog enthusiasts, philanthropists, and dedicated supporters of educational institutions including Lake Highland Preparatory School, Rollins College and Holderness School in Plymouth, NH. Marion was deeply passionate about giving back to her community and was a volunteer at both ORMC and Florida Hospital for many years. She loyally supported children's medical charities and numerous animal causes.

Marion is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Eileen and Mary Ellen; and brother George. Her husband, Sam, died in January, 2011; and her youngest daughter, Diane DeLuca, passed away in March 2013.

She is survived by her daughters Kathleen DeLuca Schumann and Debra DeLuca; granddaughter Laura Kathleen Schumann; step-daughters, Barbara Lawrence Alfond (Ted), Ruth Lawrence duPont (Tom), six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Marion was an adoring mother, friend, and Bee. Her vivacious, compassionate, quick-witted spirit will be deeply missed by all.

Per Marion's request, there will be no service. Internment will be at Palm Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to your local SPCA.
