Obituary

Marion L. Ford, 100, passed away in the early morning of February 18, 2017, while in the care of Hospice Of The Comforter in Altamonte Springs FL., with her family by her side. She was born to Petrina Edney Peterson, and Hugh Vladimir Peterson, in St. Croix VI, on April 15, 1916. Marion was introduced to Wendell E. Ford, in Baltimore Md. They were married on June 12, 1941. Marion was a kind, loving, mother, sister, and friend. She was also a devoted Lutheran disciple of Jesus. Her entire life revolved around family and friends, and she absolutely enjoyed cooking for those she loved. Marion's kindness touched thousands of people during her 100-year life span. She remained a life-long member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Frederiksted, St. Croix. After leaving the island at a young age, she returned with her husband in retirement for 10 years. She retuned again most recently with her daughter and son-in-law from 2005 to 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband Wendell E. Ford who passed in 1994, and her daughter Coline Metoyer who passed in 2015, as well as all of her 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters Shelia L. Arrington 73, Ingrid J. Santangelo 68, and her sons Wendell E. Ford Jr 72, and Robert T. Ford 58. A memorial service will be held to honor her life at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church in Lithonia GA. on March 4th at 11 o'clock.
