Marilyn S. Lieber, 91, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 10, 2026, surrounded by her family.Marilyn was born on January 12, 1935, in Sugar Creek, Ohio, to William and Viola (Mutschelknaus) Menges.Marilyn devoted much of her life to her family as a homemaker and stay-at-home mother. As her family grew, she continued that loving role by helping care for and babysit many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, becoming an important part of their everyday lives and childhood memories.Marilyn was also active in her community and was a past officer of the Ladies of Elks Auxiliary at St. Petersburg Elks Lodge #1224.She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Lieber, and her sisters, Julia Hinerman and Murna Nash.Marilyn is survived by her children, Cynthia Pevehouse, Diana (Jim) DeFreitas, Jan Giallourakis, Dean (Lisa) Durbin, and Dawn (Gary) Stidham; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Marilyn’s life was centered around her family, and her memory will live on through the generations she helped nurture and care for.
