It is with great sadness that the family of Marilyn Daun Jones Scott, announces her passing on May 26, 2021 at the age of 85. Marilyn was born on December 11, 1935 in Butler, Pennsylvania. She will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Robin Baillie, Derek Scott (Teresa), and Amber Pittman (Buddy); 5 grandchildren: Chelsea, Jordan (Sophia), Hailey (Hayden), Rachael, and Austin; 3 great grandchildren: Nevaeh, Beckett, and Baylor. Marilyn will also be fondly remembered by her sister, Shirley Holland (Anton) and her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Marilyn endured a long and challenging journey with the infirmities of her body and mind. Through it all she exemplified faith, strength, and a resilience beyond comprehension. We believe Marilyn is with the Lord now and is at peace.

We are confident that she is once again talking and singing and dancing with all those who greeted her in heaven, including her parents, 4 siblings, our dad who has been gone almost 30 years, and her second husband, Jimmy. What a reunion she must be having.

Looking over the last few years, it's truly amazing the impact Marilyn had on so many and yet… she wasn't able to speak a word to them. People who knew her for only a short time came to love her like their own mother. The joy we all would get when we could get her to smile and laugh was immeasurable. And she never lost the beauty and sparkle in her eyes or the sweetness in her smile.

During the last few weeks of Marilyn's life, many cardinals would visit the bird feeder outside her window. We'd watch them every day. There's a saying that when cardinals appear, then angels are near. We believe Marilyn had many angels watching over her and waiting to welcome her home.

Marilyn is resting now with those she loved that have gone before her. We love and miss her dearly.
