Marilyn (Bib) Diane Renda Hallowitz of Orlando, FL died December 6, 2017. Marilyn was born March 8, 1925, to Isador and Sara Chaiken in Chicago Illinois.
Marilyn graduated from Tuly High School in Chicago and worked for the Navy Department during World War II. After WWII Marilyn met and married Frank S Renda (died 1979) with whom she had 4 children - Michael (Randolph, NJ), Joel (Oviedo, Fl), Rose Dority (Parkland, Fl) and Nancy Iriye (Lake Forest, Ca) - who survive her.
Marilyn graduated from Clarion State University with a BS degree in special education and lived in the Orlando area since 1980. She was a teacher at Magnolia School and retired from Orange County Public Schools. Marilyn married David Hallowitz (died 2005) in 1995.
Marilyn was an avid reader, loved to play bridge with her friends, traveled the world, and sang at many events with the Croomers. Marilyn leaves behind 8 grandchildren - Jeremy, Christopher, Elizabeth, Jason, Tracy, Lia, Max and Wyatt - and 4 great grandchildren - Chad, Meghan, Korina and Harvest.
