Marie V. Ross, age 86, Winter Park, Florida passed away peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease on January 6, 2021. Marie, formerly of Butler, Pennsylvania, was born of local grocers, Fred and Josephine (Codispot) Morando on July 18, 1934. She attended St. Michael's Roman Catholic School and graduated Butler Senior High School class of 1952.

Marie married Dan K. Ross of West Virginia on November 24, 1956 and later the couple owned and operated the Panel and Tile Mart in Butler for almost 30 years.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband Dan (1993) and her only son, Dank K. "Jr." (2004).

Marie resided with her surviving daughter Dr. Mary Jo Ross of Winter Park, Florida, also an Associate Professor for Slippery Rock University in Butler County.

The Ross family served actively for decades in the Butler community and in their family parish, St. (Conrad's) Fidelis of Meridian, PA.

Marie was a former member of the St. Conrad's Christian Mothers Guild, the Butler County Soroptomists Guild, and the Butler Country Club.

She was employed after the closing of the family lumber business at the Meridian Elementary School cafeteria and the Moraine Pointe Giant Eagle bakery.

While in Florida she was also employed at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic School in Winter Park and served as a church Minister of the Eucharist. Marie enjoyed to travel along with cooking and entertaining her family and friends.

She leaves behind a large extended family of numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who all loved and admired her.
