Marie Marion passed away on Thursday, November 28th, 2019. She is survived by her husband Leo Marion, daughter Lisa Wambold, and grandson Sean O'Hara. A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday December 3 from 6-8PM at DeGusipe Funeral Home in Maitland Fl. On Wednesday December 4 a funeral will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Casselberry Fl. Her burial will take place on December 4th at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at 11:00AM.

Marie was born on August 10, 1938 in Berlin NH to Ernest Montminy and Melina Gauthier. Months later after her birth her mother passed. She was raised by her father and extended family. When she reached 6th grade she was sent to Catholic Boarding School that she graduated from. It was during her time there that she realized how much she loved God. After graduating she decided to give her life to God taking the name Sister Claudette Marie. She attended Rivier College in Nashua NH were she earned her BA. She then went on to teach elementary school for 10 years at Sacred Heart in Manchester NH. Always wanting to deepen her love for God, she attended St. Bonaventure University in Allegany, NY to earn a degree in Theology.

At the age of 35 Marie realized she wanted more. After many prayers and conversations with God she left the convent. She married Leo D. Marion on November 30, 1974 in Springvale, ME. Two years later Marie gave birth Lisa Marie in April 11, 1976.

From 1974 to 1985 she worked as a religious education director at the church she was married in for many years. She then relocated to St. Martin's Catholic Church in Somersworth NH doing the same job.

In 1986 she moved to Florida where she taught Theology at Bishop Moore High School for 17 years. She loved Bishop Moore High School beyond words. She was home. She was happy to share her love for God with the students, parents and other facility members at Bishop Moore.

In 2003 Marie retired from Bishop Moore only to continue teaching courses for the Diocese of Orlando. There was no stopping her.

About 9 years later she learned that she had Parkinson's disease. She attended classes to learn how to help herself and what she needed to expect. She passed away due to Parkinson's related issues two days short of her 45 wedding anniversary.
