Marie Jose' Dominique, affectionately known as 'Ma', and 'Nenenne', was born in Port-au-Prince Haiti on December 21,1949 to LaFontaine Dominique and Jeanine Simplice. She is preceded in death by her husband; Robert, daughters; Jennifer and Kimberly, Son-in-law; Brent, Daughter-in-law; Wendy, grandchildren: Robert, Jade, Christina, Taylor, Josiah, Napoleon, Fatima, and great grandchildren; Journey, Justice, and triplet girls due July 2017.

From an early age, Marie was always a charitable person. She was often known to give clothes and food to her less fortunate classmates--a trait that followed her into adulthood. Marie was always known as everyone's mother. She had a genuine, loving heart and the ability to lift anyone's spirits. She prided herself in her family, her willingness to help anyone in need, and most importantly her faith.

In 1971 she married her husband, Robert Glaude, and together they settled in Brooklyn, New York. They later had 3 children, Andre' Peter, Jennifer Lisa, and Kimberly Ann. In 1990, Marie and Robert moved their family to Altamonte Springs, Florida.

In 1985, Marie founded Saint Francis of Assissi/Saint Blaise's first Charismatic Group. She would later start another Haitian Charismatic group at Saint Francis Catholic Church in Apopka Florida. Impassioned by the Charismatic revivals she attended, Marie felt a calling to share her passion for the Lord as a Lay person. Following the loss of her oldest child, Marie sought refuge in her faith. In 2010, she joined the Lay Carmelite community. Additionally, she found solace and joy in serving her church as a Sacristan, Eucharistic Minister, and working as a volunteer to expose the Blessed Sacrament for Eucharistic adoration.

Throughout her life, Marie always remained strong in her faith, and made sure to instill the same in her family. As a lover of travel, Marie prided herself in countless destinations. From bathing in mud from the Dead Sea, to following the path of Jesus' crucifixion. Her love for all of God's creations opened her up to so much of the world.

Amidst serious health complications, Marie remained steadfast in her faith; and kept her sense of humor. She was never afraid to be silly with her children or grandchildren. She danced til the very end. Her love of the Lord (regardless of the circumstance), her passion for life, her joy in serving others, and the pride she took in everything she did is the legacy she leaves behind--a gift to all who knew and loved her.

Please join us as we celebrate Marie's sixty-seven years granted to us by God. She will be missed, but never forgotten. Her legacy lives on through her family and friends.
