Marie Teresa Daoust, 94, passed away January 19, 2020. Marie was born in Newark, NJ, and resided at Alabama Oaks ALF, Winter Park. She moved to Orlando with her husband, Eugene, and family, in 1957.

Marie volunteered in the libraries of St. Margaret Mary, Lake Sybelia and Keeth Elementary Schools, and also worked in the office of Rheinauer's Dept Store for many years until her retirement.

Growing up in a time when not everyone had the opportunity to graduate from high school, Marie made it up by becoming an avid reader and was proud that her grandchildren and great-grandchildren are still carrying on her love of books.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, and is survived by her daughters Susan (Charles Young), Longwood, and Patricia (Gary Bond), Maitland, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

The family wants to thank the staff at Alabama Oaks ALF for the loving care they gave mom during her years there.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Community, 575 Tuscawilla Road, Winter Springs, February 4, at 10:00 AM. Reception to follow in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Epilepsy Florida or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
