Maricela Pinilla Orlando, FL – Maricela Pinilla, 76, of Orlando, Florida, entered eternal rest Sunday, February 18th, 2024. Maricela was born on November 10th, 1947, in Medellin, Colombia, the daughter of Guillermo Pinilla and Oliva Rendon. Upon completing high school at Nuestra Señora del Pilar, she achieved a degree in education at Universidad de Antioquia. She married Gilberto Echavarria in 1969, In 1981 she moved with her family to Valencia, Venezuela where she opened her own business in the retail industry. After her husband died in 2011 Maricela moved to the USA to live near her daughter and sons. Her vast array of interest included international culinary, pastry, cosmetology, ceramics, and painting.
She was a devoted wife of her predeceased husband Gilberto, and loving mother to her survived three children, Edwin Echavarria, Maribel Echavarria, and John Echavarria. Maricela is a treasure grandmother to Aithana Pinto, Anthonella Pinto, Angelina Pinto, Jean Carlo Echavarria, and Laura Florez; dearest mother in law of Lauris Florez and Gabriel Pinto; and beloved sister of Liliana Pinilla, and Orlando Pinilla. A woman that knew no strangers and was recognized for her happiness, boundless kindness, warmth, and counselor. Maricela was a well-loved member of her communities in Colombia, Venezuela, and the USA, and will be missed by many.
A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, February 24th, (US and Colombia 2:00 pm, Venezuela 3:00 pm), at Saint Mary Magdalen Church, (861 Maitland Ave, Altamonte Springs FL 32701). Fr. Edwin Cardona officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Maricela's life. The ceremony will be as well livestreamed, (see the link below).

Maricela Pinilla, Orlando FL – Maricela Pinilla de 76 años, residente de Orlando, Florida, entró en el descanso eterno el domingo 18 de febrero de 2024. Maricela nació el 10 de noviembre de 1947 en Medellín, Colombia, hija de Guillermo Pinilla y Oliva Rendón. Después de finalizar el bachillerato en el colegio Nuestra Señora del Pilar obtuvo la licenciatura en educación en la Universidad de Antioquia la cual ejerció por varios años. Se caso con Gilberto Echavarría en el año 1969; en 1981 se traslada con su familia a Valencia, Venezuela donde abre su propio negocio en el área comercial. Después de la muerte de su esposo en 2011, Maricela se mudó a los Estados Unidos para vivir cerca de sus hijos. Su amplia gama de intereses incluía cocina internacional, pastelería, cosmetología, cerámica y pintura.
Fue una devota esposa de su esposo precedido en la muerte y madre amorosa de sus tres hijos sobrevivientes, Edwin Echavarria, Maribel Echavarria y John Echavarria. Maricela es la abuela tesoro de Aithana Pinto, Anthonella Pinto, Angelina Pinto, Jean Carlo Echavarria y Laura Florez; querida suegra de Lauris Florez y Gabriel Pinto; y entrañable hermana de Liliana Pinilla y Orlando Pinilla. Una mujer que se hacía amiga de todo aquel que conocía, era reconocida por su alegría, bondad sin límites, calidez y sabios consejos. Maricela era un miembro muy querido en las comunidades a las que perteneció en Colombia, Venezuela y Estados Unidos done muchos la extrañarán.
El funeral está programado para el sábado 24 de febrero a las 2:00 pm en EEUU y Colombia, 3:00 pm en Venezuela, en la iglesia Saint Mary Magdalen (861 Maitland Ave, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701). El Padre Edwin Cardona oficiara la ceremonia. Todos son bienvenidos a asistir y celebrar la vida de Maricela.
