Marianne Ambrose Sterner – Obituary 6-23-2023
Marianne Ambrose Sterner, 75, of Longwood, FL passed away peacefully on June 23, 2023
following a long illness. Marianne was born April 16, 1948 in New Castle, PA moving to Warren,OH with her family in 1961.

Marianne attended St. Mary's parochial grade school, graduated from John F. Kennedy High school, and then went on to earn her degree in psychology from Kent State University and some advanced studies at Ohio State University. She spent most of her career as the Hillard Ohio school district psychologist. Upon retirement from the school district, she worked in a private practice before completely retiring. She was Board Certified Psychologist and had a Teaching Certificate. She belonged to numerous professional organizations and was active in many career related activities. She helped many youths during her career and had an impact upon the lives that needed her counseling and would otherwise have been left behind.

She met her husband Victor Sterner in 2015, got married in 2016 and moved to Longwood, FL.
They planned on traveling to see the world and utilize her many weeks of timeshare ownership.
Her debilitating illness began in 2017, that changed all the travel dreams.Marianne is predeceased by her parents, Peter & Rose Ambrose, and a brother, GregoryAmbrose. Marianne is survived by husband Victor Sterner, brothers Francis, Richard, Louis, Davidand sisters Bernadette, Regina as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.Marianne strongly believed in her career and her faith and loved her church St. Bridgit of KildareCatholic Church when she lived in Dublin, OH and Annunciation Catholic Church after she movedto Florida. She enjoyed going to movies and in later months of her illness, Hallmark movies, the food channel, and Christian TV channels.

Marianne was strong willed and sometimes stubborn, but also had an enormous heart. She was
generous with the church and to many charities and loyal to her friends.Marianne's remains are being prepared by DeGusipe Funeral Home in Maitland, FL( www.DeGusipeFuneralHome.com ). Family and friends are invited to join in Marianne's viewingand memorial funeral mass July 6, 2023, starting at 9:30 AM, Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020Montgomery Rd, Altamont Springs, FL. A celebration of Marianne's life will follow at Fish Bonesrestaurant, 7005 Co Rd 46A, Lake Mary, FL later that afternoon.

She will be forever missed.
