Marianne B. Previty went to meet her Lord on Monday, March 30, 2026, in Lake Mary Florida. She passed peacefully at home with family present.
Marianne is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 67 years, John Francis Previty; her son John Jr. (Maria) and her daughter Carolyn; and siblings David (Margie) Fasbender, Ginny Sullivan, and Diane (Ron) Shattuck.
She was preceded in death by her precious daughter Deborah Anne; her mother Genevieve Schimmel Fasbender; her father Edward C. Fasbender; and siblings Edward B. Fasbender, Ronald Fasbender, Donald Fasbender, Bernard Fasbender, and Gerald Fasbender.
Marianne Bernadette Fasbender was born at home on December 18, 1933, in Detroit Michigan, and was the eldest of nine children. She grew up in Grosse Pointe Woods until the family moved to Edinburg Texas in 1942 to raise citrus fruit, and it was there that Marianne learned to ride horses and played clarinet in the marching band. Shortly after graduating from Edinburg High School in 1952, she returned to Michigan and worked at such jobs as a travel counselor for AAA, and eventually as a secretary at Wurtsmith AFB in Oscoda, MI. She there met the love of her life, John, and they married in April of 1959. Subsequent job relocations took the couple to Philadelphia PA, where their eldest daughter Deborah was born; Syracuse NY, where their son John Jr. was born; and East Setauket NY, where daughter Carolyn was born. Sadly, that is also where daughter Deborah lost her battle with cancer at the tender age of 12, leaving the entire family heartbroken.
A final job relocation moved the family to Oak Ridge NJ, where Marianne & John eventually retired. The family loved to travel and enjoyed many trips around North America, as well as a special 45th wedding anniversary vacation to the Bavarian region of Germany.
Marianne recently chronicled her remarkable life in a non-published biography entitled "Growing up Marianne," as well as a self-published book of humorous Christmas letters titled "The Last Box." Her final move was to Lake Mary Florida in February of this year, to be closer to her daughter.
The family will welcome friends on April 9th from 5-8pm at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 905 Laurel Ave, Sanford, FL 32771. A funeral mass will be held at 1pm on April 10th at All Souls Catholic Church Historic Chapel, 800 S. Oak Avenue, Sanford, FL 32771.
