Maria Victoria Borrero-Torres, known to her family as Vickie, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, July 24, after a long battle with cancer. She was 64 years old.
A wife, teacher, and mother of 4 children, Maria moved to Florida from Puerto Rico in 1992, where she worked as a Spanish to English interpreter and translator.
Having an incredible thirst for knowledge and culture, she loved art, literature, music, and photography. As a passionate patron of the arts, she often attended galleries and festivals, and contributed to local charities and organizations.
She is survived and remembered by her parents Eliseo and Maria Victoria, sister Nilda, brothers Eliseo, Jr. and Daniel, husband Jose, daughters Angelica and Jessica, sons David and Samuel, and 5 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Angel.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 18th.
