Marguerite was born 11/4/1921 of Charles R. and Bessie A. Gilbert in Old Saybrook, CT. She was married to William Mulligan and Raymond C. Gallagher, both predeceased her. She leaves behind a daughter, Diane McCauley and two sons, William, and Thomas Mulligan all of Old Saybrook Ct. and daughter- in-law, Mary Diane L. Mulligan. Full of love she devoted her time to her grandchildren: Wendy Camp of Florida and Sharon Mulligan Donnelly of Rhode Island, Great Grandchildren, Kayce Mulligan of Chicago, IL, and Jayden Donnelly of Rhode Island.

She is predeceased by her two Grandsons, Francis C. McCauley and Timothy J. Mulligan.

Marguerite was very active in Saybrook Activities, she was on the board of Saybrook Village. She was given an Official State Citation on her 95th birthday for being "the first female harbor master in not only Old Saybrook but the entirety of the United States, a distinction on one else has a privilege to claim."

She passed away peacefully on August 24th in Florida.

Interment will be in Cypress Cemetery in Old Saybrook, CT
