Obituary

Margaret Ann "Peggy" Wittick (nee Lynch), 90, of Longwood FL, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2018 in Altamonte Springs, FL. Peggy was born and raised in Newark NJ, graduating from West Side HS in 1946. She went on to work for NJ Bell for 10 years. In 1950, she married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Wittick, raising 6 children. In 1977 she moved to Longwood FL with her husband and 4 of her children.

Peggy was a devout Catholic and was active in parish activities at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in the Vailsburg section of Newark, NJ. In FL she was a constant presence in many organizations and at events at Annunciation Catholic Church (Altamonte Springs), and throughout the Diocese of Orlando. She had a special love for the work that she did and for the lifelong friends she made as a member of the St Joan of Arc Circle at Annunciation. As a mother with a special needs daughter Peggy was active with Special Olympics, Morning Star School Auxiliary, Altamonte Springs Special Needs Recreation, and the "Angels Among Us" musical group. She celebrated her Irish heritage as a member of the Women of Irish Heritage (NJ) and the Irish-American Club of Central FL.

She is predeceased by her parents Matthew and Anna (Tully) Lynch, her husband Robert I Wittick, and brother Matthew Lynch. She is survived by her sister, Rosemary Greene (Tinton Falls, NJ); her 6 children Marianne Karl and husband Kevin (Wall, NJ), Betsey (Bainbridge WA), Colleen (Sanford, FL), Margaret Wittick and husband Mac Pharr (Rochester Hills, MI), Bob (Longwood, FL) and Patti (Longwood, FL); grandchildren Dr. Andrew Malanga and wife Mong-Wai Lee, Dana Moriarty and husband Billy; Jamie Luke and husband Ray, and Brian Karl; great grandchildren Jack Moriarty, Thomas Malanga, Owen and Desmond Luke; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Visitation: Friday Oct 26 5:30-7:30 at DeGusipe Funeral Home Maitland Chapel, 9001 N Orlando Ave, Maitland, FL. Funeral Mass: Saturday Oct 27, 12 noon at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Rd, Altamonte Springs, FL. Reception following funeral mass in the St Gabriel Life Center at the church. Graveside Service: Saturday Oct 27 at 3 PM, All Faiths Memorial Park, 1390 Park Dr, Casselberry, FL.
