Smith, Margaret A., 85, of Seminole, died Thursday, December 15. Born in Detroit, Michigan. Predeceased by her husband, Thomas in 2009. Married 53 years. Survived by three children - daughter, Linda Drake (Russell); son, Thomas A. Smith; and daughter, Lora Wong (David); eight grandchildren, Jayson, Nina, Ryan, Justin, Whitney, Chelsie, Holly, and David; seven great grandchildren; and a brother Arthur (Donna).
Margaret and Tom moved their family from Detroit to St Petersburg in 1972 after vacationing in St Petersburg for many years. They were the owners of Shell service stations for many years in Detroit and St Petersburg and loved boating as their favorite way to relax with family and friends. They were members of the St Petersburg Yacht Club and Suncoast Cruise Club of St Petersburg. Margaret was devoted to her family and loved them very much, She was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She rarely missed an opportunity to brag about them.
Her funeral service will be graveside at Serenity Gardens Cemetery, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, on Wednesday, December 21 at 11:00 am where she will be reunited with the love of her life, her husband, Tom.
Margaret will be missed greatly.
