On Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the age of 93, Mardelle Edwards Merrill passed away peacefully in her sleep. Over a long life filled with a loving family, wonderful friends, and rich experiences, she touched countless people and created many warm memories. After graduating from Purdue University, where she met her beloved husband Harvie Martin Merrill IV (1921-2010), she devoted herself to raising two talented and highly successful daughters.

While her family was always foremost in her thoughts and actions, she also was involved in a wide variety of arts and other philanthropic activities throughout her life. She was proud also to win recognition as an international jewelry designer.

Mardelle is survived by her two daughters, Susan Merrill Rosoff of Winter, FL (and her husband Eric) and Merrill Ashley of New York, NY (and her husband Kibbe Fitzpatrick). Her grandson, Christopher Merrill Rosoff (and his wife Beth) of Maitland, FL and great granddaughter, Hannah Merrill Rosoff, also survive her.

Though she will be dearly missed, all those who knew her will cherish her enduring legacy of love, grace and elegance together with her quick wit and generous nature.
