Marcia Shaver (Ottke) died peacefully in Orlando, Florida on Monday, October 23, 2023, at the age of 74.
Marcia is survived by her two sons, Chuck and Eric, her brother, Robert Ottke, and grandchildren Kyla, Charlie, Marley and Mela and is preceded in death by her daughter Kimberly, and parents, Robert, and Helen Ottke.
Marcia was born on May 30, 1949, in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Southwestern High School in Flint, Michigan. She married Charles E. Shaver on February 22, 1969. Marcia loved flying her Cessna 170 airplane, Snoopy, and worked for AT&T, with whom she transferred to Orlando, Florida in 1985. Years later she graduated from Nova Southeastern University and worked as a paralegal in Orlando.
Her funeral is scheduled for 4:00 pm at DeGusipe Funeral Home in Sanford, Florida on Saturday, October 28, 2023. Food will be served, and a reception will follow. John Sellers will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend to celebrate Marcia's life.
