Marcela Ortiz Funes died unexpectedly at home on March 16, 2026, in Winter Springs, Florida, at the age of 44.

Marcela is survived by her children, Nathan Rivera and Vincent Hall, her siblings, Esteban, Andrea, and Antonio Ortiz, her parents, Antonio and Elizabeth Ortiz, and her partner, Aaron Wilkins.

Marcela was born on August 19, 1981, in Manhasset, New York, to Antonio and Elizabeth. She graduated from Sanford-Brown Institute in Garden City, New York, in 2010. She shared a loving partnership with Aaron for five years. After living in New York, Chile, and Florida, Marcela began working for Center Well in Altamonte Springs as a Cardiac Sonographer. She was deeply dedicated to helping others through her work in the medical field and touched many lives with her care and compassion.

A funeral is scheduled for March 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM in Maitland, Florida. Deacon Pedro will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marcela's life.
