Lynn C. Tibbetts,
87, of St. Petersburg, went home to be with the Lord on June 30, 2015. Lynn was a kind and selfless man, giving to charities, his family and friends. He was never one to complain and the first to offer his help. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Connie of 53 years and survived by daughters Kathryn McEntire and Lori Westlund, son-in-law Bill Westlund, grandchildren Billy (Yvonne), Kyle, Holly (Tim), Scott and Jordan, great-grandchildren Lucas and Tori and many relatives and friends. Lynn was born in Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands, in 1928 and raised in Jamaica. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he moved to St. Petersburg in 1955 and served as a firefighter for 25 years. Funeral services will be held at Starkey Road Baptist Church on Sat. July 11, viewing from 10-11 am, service to follow at 11 A.M. Per Lynn�s request, male attendees are encouraged to wear casual shirts with a pocket. In lieu of sending flowers, the family graciously requests donations to the USO.
