Luckner Mompoint, 91, passed away peacefully in Maitland, Florida, on Sunday, March 1, 2020. He was born in Ouanaminthe, Haiti to Roland Mompoint and Lydia Bidos on February 26, 1929.

He was a great provider for his family and a very kind man; he worked in Haiti as a teacher and mentor before moving to the United States to Chicago, in 1965. There he pursed a career in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, working for various companies including Western Electric, Teletype and Motorola.

He really loved books and learning and this inspired his children and all those around him to also value learning and education.

He was preceded in death by son Herve. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Gertha and children: daughter Myrtho and her children Cassandra, Kevin, and Jonathan; son Raynald and his children Ashley, Anthony, Alyssa; son Carl; survived by sister Rose Marie; and survived by his daughter Evelyne and her children Eva, Geni, Vanessa and Tatyana.

Our hearts are broken and we will all miss him dearly. Please always keep him in your prayers.
