Lucia Avila, residing in Orlando, FL passed away on August 22, 2018 at the age of 82. She was a native of Cali, Colombia. Her full name, to all in Colombia, was Ana Lucia Rengifo Avila, but was called Lucia here in the US.
Lucia will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Alfonso Avila Diaz, and children Jose Sepulveda Rengifo, Alfonso Avila Jr. Rengifo and daughter Maria Lucia Avila Rengifo. She will also be remembered by her 3 grandchildren, Jose Guillermo Sepulveda, Juan Jose Sepulveda and Javier Sepulveda along with 7 great grandchildren, one surviving sister, Marina Rengifo Manzano, daughters-in law and many nieces and nephews.
The family has lost a beautiful soul who was the core of their lives. She shared with all so many attributes, including her wisdom, integrity, warmth, guidance, sincerity, selflessness, beauty (inside and out) and sense of humor. She was always genuine. She shared many stories from her childhood to her lifetime adventures. She was a great storyteller, always captivating her audience. Lucia had the most beautiful singing voice. She could sing beautifully without the need of music. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She will be missed. As she begins her new journey…that of eternal life, her family knows they will meet with her again.
