Louise Lundquist Austin, age 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born November 30, 1930, Sanford, to Edwin and Ruth Lundquist. Louise is a part of Sanford's early history, having been born of the original Swedish Settlers in the Upsala area. She was crowned Miss Sanford in 1946 at age 16 and she was a 1948 graduate from Seminole High School.

She enjoyed teaching the four-year old's Sunday School class for many years. She loved to sew, craft, play tennis, garden, and spent her last years coloring pictures and giving them away to family and friends. A favorite memory among friends and family was camping throughout the years with Louise and her late husband.

She is preceded in death by Benny Austin, husband of 52 years and her son Dale Austin. She is
survived by a daughter, Bonnie (Philip) Balliet. Grand children Britney (Nathan) Smith; Drew Balliet; Dale (Brittany) Austin Jr; David (Sarah) Austin; Kenneth Austin. She had sixteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild: plus, many nieces and nephews.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Louise touched are invited to Westview Baptist Church, Sanford, FL with viewing at 10:00 AM followed by the funeral at 11:00 AM, proceeding with graveside service; to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat.

In lieu of flowers, Louise loved the youth, please give to the youth of Westview Baptist for their youth activities and summer camp.
