Our beloved father, Louis Robert "Bob" Dumont passed away at his residence in Winter Springs, FL, on Saturday, June 29, 2019 surrounded by his family.

Bob was born in Derry, NH, and attended Pinkerton Academy before graduating from the University of New Hampshire in 1954. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Buffalo, NY, where he met his wife of forty-six years, Barbara Ann Dumont, who preceded him in death in 2004.

Bob began his career with the Travelers Insurance Company where he worked for 35 years holding various positions in underwriting, systems development, marketing as well as several executive positions. Over the years he was involved in politics holding several elected positions in our local community. He moved to Orlando, FL, in 1982 to serve as a Vice-President of Sales/Marketing for EBS, a subsidiary of the Travelers, where he sold their newly developed computer information agency interface systems. After retiring from Travelers, he stayed in the Orlando area with his wife Barbara and continued working as a consultant. He was an active member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Winter Park, Florida. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Bob was the son of Louis and Florence Dumont. He had five brothers and sisters: Henry, Leona, Marilyn, Doris, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Eleanor Thompson; his daughter, Roberta Geer (Shawn) of Trussville, Alabama; son Louis (Elizabeth) Dumont of Manhattan Beach, California; daughter Cecelia Schwing (John) of Winter Springs, Florida; four grandchildren, Daniel, Nicole, Hailey and Luc; as well as three great grandchildren, Liliana, Natalie and Noah.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 19th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church, 526 N. Park Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789. Condolences can be sent to Cecelia and John Schwing at 1539 Braewick Street Winter Springs, FL 32708.
