Lottie M. Shasteen, age 95 years old, of Merritt Island, Florida, passed away on September 18, 2020 at her grand-daughters home. Lottie was born on September 26, 1924 in Sturgis, Kentucky, the daughter of Jeremiah Willie and Sallie Mae (Sawyer) Miller.
Lottie was a firm believer in Christ, and she wanted everyone she met to meet her in heaven one day. She had a love of children and taught Sunday school for 20 years. Lottie also had a nursing home ministry through her church in Sanford, FL where she went to different nursing homes in the area to minister to their residents on Sunday for Sunday School. Lottie also spent several months at Strive Senior Living as one of her residents where she quickly became known as a resident who loved and cared for everyone around her.
Lottie authored a book "The Most Valuable Pearl". This was a labor of love for 20 years for Lottie and her family as Lottie wanted everything to be just perfect. She was very proud of her book but more than anything her desire was to show Christ and his love and sacrifice to the children and parents who may read her book.
Lottie is survived by her daughter Donna J. Biondi (Rich), of Merritt Island, FL, grandson David Phillips (Amy), of Ft Worth, TX and granddaughter Dara Polino (Mark), of Altamonte Springs, FL. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, Charlotte Pham (ToeMat), Chelsea Marciante (Michael), Micah Polino, Alex Renteria (Sarah), Lacey Thrower (Blake), Angelina Polino, and Jillian Phillips, great great grandchildren, Elianna Marciante, Olivia Marciante, Elizabeth Renteria, Averie Pham, Rylie Pham and Levi Pham with another one due in December of this year as well as several Nieces and Nephews.
