Lorraine Brodeur Prose
84 years old
Born November 14, 1933 in Nashua, New Hampshire to Albert and Marie Goudreaux Brodeur. She was the youngest of five children.
She passed away November 1, 2018 in Altamonte Springs,Fl due to Alzheimer's disease.
She relocated to Orlando, Fl as a child. She Attended school and vocational school in Orlando. She met the love of her life, Raymond and married on January 31, 1953. She worked as a secretary for the PTA.
Her first of six children was born in June of 1954 so she began her career as a housewife and mother.
Later she joined her husband at Simonet Electric part time to help out.
She had many hobbies. She loved to work in the yard. At one time she had more than 50 rosebushes. She was a great cook. Her deserts were especially delicious. She loved to sew and made many clothes for her family, drapes for the house and upholstered furniture. She also decorated cakes and made beautiful flower arrangement. She loved swimming, roller skating , water skiing, fishing, and biking.
She travelled to many countries with her church groups. She was a devout Catholic and belonged to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
She was loved deeply by all her friends and family. She never knew a stranger and anyone who met her fell in love with her.
She is survived by five children; Linda Kelliher, Deborah Kirby, Cynthia Nielsen, Clifford Prose and Gregory Prose. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond and her son, Darrell Prose.
A visitation for friends will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4001 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, Florida 32804 on Friday, November 9th from 5-7 PM.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 10:30 A.M. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church followed by a graveside service at Drawdy Rouse Cemetery, 4050 Rouse Road, Orlando, Florida 32817.
