Lois Adeline Rushford, 93 of Orange City, Florida passed away March 1, 2019.
Lois was born December 14, 1925 in Newman Grove, Nebraska to Chris and Nettie Melland. She grew up on a farm with three brothers and three sisters. She fondly remembered riding her horse, Diamond, to the one room schoolhouse.
Lois later moved to Detroit with her sister where she met the love of her life at the Greystone Ballroom. They married and had seven daughters and one son.
She always made time to serve at her church and made room for anyone who needed a place to stay. In later years, she became an accomplished artist and has left a variety of beautiful paintings for her family and friends. Lois was a lifelong lover of travel, camping with her children then traveling far and wide.
She will be remembered for her heart of gold and always seeing the best in everyone.
Survived by daughters Kathy Boniface, Jean Redding, Carolyn Rushford, Sharon Hills, Wilma Mondell Bufton, Deborah Muglia and Laurie Piasecki and 26 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great greats!
She has been reunited in heaven with her husband Andrew, son Andy Jr and grandson David Poisson.
A Memorial Service will be held March 10, 2019 at Deltona Alliance Church starting at 3PM.
